Our cultivation method
Grown in harmony with nature
Our roses grow 100% pesticide-free at our nursery in Aalsmeer. No chemical pesticides—just robust varieties, healthy soil, and a nursery buzzing all summer long.
Why organic
Strong roses don’t come from a spray bottle
Many roses are grown using chemical pesticides. They look beautiful at the garden center — until they’re planted in your garden and suddenly have to fend for themselves.
We take a different approach. Our roses are grown 100% pesticide-free. Only varieties that are naturally strong enough earn a place in our range. If a rose can’t naturally withstand disease, we don’t grow it.
The result: roses that have been used to fending for themselves from day one. No artificially pampered plants, but roses with natural resilience — growing stronger year after year in your garden.

Our approach
This is how we grow without pesticides
Strong varieties as a foundation
We select only cultivars with natural resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew and black spot. If they cannot stay healthy without assistance, we do not stock them.
Healthy soil
A rich soil ecosystem creates strong roots. We nourish the soil, not just the plant — that’s where every healthy rose begins.
Natural allies
Ladybugs, birds, and other natural predators keep pests under control. We simply make sure they feel at home at the nursery.
Patience
An unsprayed rose grows at its own pace. We give our plants time to become strong—that difference will still be visible in your garden years later.
Honest story
Where we stand today
“Organic” is a big word, and we don’t use it lightly. Here’s where we stand: our entire nursery operates without chemical pesticides, and a growing part of our range is grown entirely organically.
The next step is fully organic cultivation for everything we grow. We work towards that every day — and we’ll tell you honestly how far we’ve come.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about our growing methods
Are your roses truly unsprayed?
Yes. At our nursery, we do not use chemical pesticides. We grow naturally resilient varieties and let natural predators do the work.
What is the difference between unsprayed and organic?
“Unsprayed” means no chemical pesticides were used during cultivation. Organic goes further — the soil, fertilization, and the plant’s origin must also meet organic standards. Our entire nursery is unsprayed; a growing part of our range is fully organically grown.
Are unsprayed roses weaker?
On the contrary. A rose that stays healthy without spraying has proven that it can do so on its own. It brings precisely that natural resilience to your garden.
Are your roses safe for bees and pets?
Yes. Because we do not spray, our roses are safe for bees, butterflies, pets, and playing children. Many of our varieties are especially bee-friendly.
Can I eat the rose petals?
Rose petals are edible as long as the plant has not been sprayed—and our roses have not. Use them in salads, syrups, or as decoration. If you continue growing them at home without using any treatments, they will remain that way.
