Step into a world of rare sensory experiences with the 'Edible Rose - Unique Aroma'. This special shrub rose enchants not only with its beautiful appearance but especially with an unparalleled fragrance profile: a powerful, floral base enriched with surprising notes of anise, apple, and lemon. A culinary and aromatic sensation that lives up to its name. The semi-double to very full flowers (about 7 cm) open in a bright, vivid pink and gradually transform to a soft, light pink shade, creating a dynamic and romantic spectacle in your garden.
With its compact growth of 20-60 cm, 'Unique Aroma' is a versatile addition to any outdoor space. It thrives excellently in the middle of a border, in small groups, or as a striking eye-catcher in a spacious pot on your terrace or balcony. Thanks to its repeat-blooming nature, you can enjoy its scent and color continuously from April to October. Moreover, this rose is a magnet for bees and butterflies, and its edible petals contribute to a lively and productive food forest or as a refined addition to your dishes.
At Belle Époque Rose Nursery, a family business with over 40 years of experience in Aalsmeer, we cultivate 'Unique Aroma' with the utmost care and passion. Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
