The Rosa ‘Theo Clevers’ is more than a rose; it is a culinary gem and a feast for the eyes. This unique shrub rose, named after the iconic ice cream maker Theo Clevers, enchants with its large, semi-double flowers in a radiant pink. Each flower, rich with as many as 138 petals, emits an intensely sweet fragrance, enriched with a distinct subtle strawberry aroma. A true treat for the senses, captivating both the garden and the kitchen.

From May well into October, the 'Theo Clevers' continuously adorns itself with clusters about 7 cm in diameter. It thrives excellently as a focal point in borders, as ground cover, or in large pots on balconies and terraces. Its natural resilience makes it highly suitable for organic cultivation, while its appeal to bees and butterflies contributes to vibrant biodiversity in your garden. And with its edible petals, it opens up a world of culinary possibilities: from homemade rose jam and syrup to a colorful and fragrant addition to salads and desserts.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery, a family business with over 40 years of experience in Aalsmeer, you buy the Rosa ‘Theo Clevers’ directly from the grower. This guarantees not only a top-quality rose with unparalleled vitality but also the assurance of sustainable cultivation and expertise passed down through generations. Choose the 'Theo Clevers' and enrich your outdoor space with a special, fragrant, and edible rose lovingly cultivated.

Roses in pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.

Roses with bare roots

Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.

At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.

Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
