YOUNG LYCIDAS
Austin 2008. This is a classic Old Rose beauty. The flowers are quite large and deep and cup-shaped. The color of the flowers is an addition to the range, a mixture of very deep magenta to pink red. The outer petals tend towards light purple. The outside of the petals have a distinctive silvery appearance. The flowers nod gracefully and are produced singly or in small groups on strong stems. There is a wonderful scent that changes greatly with the age of the flower, starting as a pure tea scent and moving to a blend of tea with hints of cedarwood
