De Meaux at a glance
De Meaux brings the charm of old garden roses to a small garden. This compact historic rose forms a graceful little shrub with small leaves and refined, richly filled pink flowers. The many petals form small rosettes that fit beautifully in a romantic border.
During its once-yearly summer flowering, De Meaux is a delight to admire. The fragrant flowers give it a classic appearance: a beautiful choice for garden enthusiasts who love historic roses in a modest size.
Thanks to its compact growth, De Meaux is well suited to the front of a border, alongside a garden path, or in a low rose hedge. According to David Austin, it is also suitable for a large pot. Give it a sunny spot or light partial shade, with fertile soil that drains excess water well.
Looking for a small garden rose with a long history? De Meaux combines a refined flower shape with the romance of a historic rose.
Forty years of nothing but roses
Belle Époque is a family business, not a wholesaler. From our greenhouses in Aalsmeer, we have been growing only roses for over four decades — and every plant we send out is personally selected by us. This way, you receive not a catalog rose, but a plant ready to grow.
"Beautiful climbing rose, bloomed abundantly in the very first year! Well packaged and exactly what I expected based on the description. Belle Époque truly delivers top quality."
"The rose is well packaged and looks beautiful. Fast delivery, and the personal advice via email was very valuable — I wasn’t sure where to plant it."
"Amazing quality & service. I ordered two New Dawns and they are developing beautifully in the garden. Fast shipping from Aalsmeer to Belgium — would absolutely order again."
