Product form

The Rose 'Dame Judi Dench', introduced in 2017 and named after the beloved British actress, is a beautiful addition to the David Austin rose collection. This rose, like its namesake, is known for its reliability and the perfection of its flowers. With its lush apricot blossoms fading towards the edges, each flower is a work of art, consisting of a mass of ruffled petals held together in an elegant rosette with a charming little button eye in the center.

The buds, tipped with red and relatively small, open into large, showy flowers that are not spoiled by rain, supported by elegantly arching stems that promote more side shoots and therefore more flowers. This rose blooms all summer long, creating a mountain of flowers with more stems each year. The good green leaves have excellent resistance to disease, making 'Dame Judi Dench' a very healthy and robust choice.

The scent of 'Dame Judi Dench' is as impressive as its appearance, with a light tea perfume enriched with overtones of kiwi and cucumber. This unique combination makes it a true star in any garden.

Ideal for central placement in your herbaceous border, 'Dame Judi Dench' supports other roses such as Buff Beauty or Lady Hillingdon, takes the lead against a neutral background or hedge, or shines as a soloist in a vase, where she overwhelms and astonishes the public.

At Belle Epoque we offer this beautiful rose directly from our nursery for only €19.95. David Austin's many years of experience guarantee that 'Dame Judi Dench' is a superstar in any garden. Order now and experience the perfection and unique aroma of this special rose

Care Instructions

Caring for rose 'Dame Judi Dench' is not difficult, but the rose does require some time and attention on a regular basis. Roses need a lot of energy to grow well and sufficient water and nutrition helps with this. Also check regularly whether there are spent flower buds on the rose. To avoid wasting energy, it is best to remove these as quickly as possible. It is wise to fertilize the rose so that it can absorb good and healthy nutrition again. The advice is to do this twice a year; in March and the end of June.
