Care & Plants
Deze roos wordt geleverd als roos met kale wortel en kan het beste geplant worden tussen november en april, zolang de grond niet bevroren is. Graaf een ruim plantgat, zorg voor goed doorlatende grond en houd een plantafstand van 100 cm aan. De oculatieplaats (verdikking op de stam) dient net onder de grond te komen.
Snoei 'Chevy Chase' in het vroege voorjaar, na de laatste strenge vorst. Verwijder dode, beschadigde of zieke takken en snoei zijscheuten terug tot 2-3 ogen. Begeleid de hoofdtakken horizontaal om een rijkere bloei te stimuleren.
Geef tijdens droge periodes voldoende water, vooral in het eerste groeiseizoen. Voor een optimale bloei en groei bemest u de roos in het voorjaar en na de eerste bloei met organische rozenmest. Een laag mulch rond de voet helpt vocht vasthouden en onkruid onderdrukken.
