Celine Forstier at a glance
Dark pink buds that open into soft yellow flowers: Rosa ‘Céline Forestier’ surprises from the very first moment. Its richly filled, quartered blooms have a warmer yellow heart and fade to cream. The silky petals and distinctive tea rose fragrance give this historic climbing rose a refined appearance.
Céline Forestier was bred by Trouillard of Angers and is dated to 1842 by David Austin and Lens. It belongs to the Noisette roses, a historic group in which fragrance, climbing growth, and repeat flowering come together. Exactly who Céline Forestier was and why her name was given to this rose has not been reliably established.
In a warm position, it flowers early in the season, with repeat flowering until late autumn. Let this yellow climbing rose grow along a sunny, sheltered wall, where its flowers and fragrance can truly shine. It needs a carefully chosen location: warmth and shelter are especially important for this romantic rose.
Forty years of nothing but roses
Belle Époque is a family business, not a wholesaler. From our greenhouses in Aalsmeer, we have been growing only roses for over four decades — and every plant we send out is personally selected by us. This way, you receive not a catalog rose, but a plant ready to grow.
"Beautiful climbing rose, bloomed abundantly in the very first year! Well packaged and exactly what I expected based on the description. Belle Époque truly delivers top quality."
"The rose is well packaged and looks beautiful. Fast delivery, and the personal advice via email was very valuable — I wasn’t sure where to plant it."
"Amazing quality & service. I ordered two New Dawns and they are developing beautifully in the garden. Fast shipping from Aalsmeer to Belgium — would absolutely order again."
