Great tit birdhouse – small but indispensable for your garden life
This compact birdhouse is specially designed for the great tit, an active and colorful garden resident. By hanging this birdhouse in your garden or on your balcony, you help this bird species find a safe breeding place – and give nature an extra hand. Each house is handmade in the woodworking shop of GewoonDoen, part of Ons Tweede Thuis. This way you not only add something beautiful to your garden but also support social craftsmanship.
Why a birdhouse for the great tit?
Great tits are small insect eaters who especially in spring look for a quiet and sheltered place to nest. They are not only fun to watch but also valuable helpers in the garden. They eat caterpillars, aphids, and other pest insects that can harm your roses and other plants. This way they act as natural pest controllers and bring life to the garden.
What makes this birdhouse special?
- Custom designed for the great tit (entrance Ø 28 mm)
- Made of sustainable wood
- Easy to hang on a wall or tree
- Equipped with a cleaning hatch

Whether you are an experienced gardener or just starting to green up: this birdhouse is a valuable addition to any garden. Combine it with an insect hotel or a great tit birdhouse for even more biodiversity.
Good for your roses, good for nature, good for each other.
Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
