Bio Alg – natural nourishment for healthy and strong roses
Give your Belle Epoque roses and other garden plants a powerful boost with Bio Alg, a 100% organic fertilizer based on seaweed extract. This natural nourishment stimulates root growth, improves soil structure, and increases the resistance of roses against diseases, pests, and stress factors such as drought or shade.
Why choose Bio Alg?
- Stronger soil and roots – promotes the uptake of nutrients and water, ideal for climbing roses and bush roses.
- Natural growth stimulant – supports rich blooming and deeper colors in yellow, red, purple, and orange roses.
- Organic and sustainable – certified product, free from synthetic additives.
- Stress reduction – helps plants recover after temperature fluctuations or nutrient shortages.
Use in the rose garden
Bio Alg is suitable for all kinds of roses, from classic English roses such as the David Austin roses to special varieties like Ingrid Bergman or Golden Celebration. Use the product as:
- Basic fertilization when planting roses.
- Support in borders or cutting gardens for healthy, long-lasting blooms.
- Extra care for climbing roses by fences or pergolas.
Usage tips
- During the growing season (spring-summer): give 1–2 ml per liter of water, 1 to 3 times per week.
- During the blooming phase: gradually increase to 4 ml per liter of water for full and strong flowers.
- Leaf application: can also be used as a leaf spray for quick absorption.
With Bio Alg you restore the natural balance in your garden. Order easily online through our nursery in Aalsmeer and experience the difference: healthy, strong roses that bloom beautifully season after season.
Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
