About Japanese rose Tsumugi (Wabara)

Rosa Tsumugi™, an exclusive beauty from the Japanese Wabara collection, is truly a rose for the true enthusiast. Developed by renowned breeders Keiji and Kenichi Kunieda, this rose embodies pure elegance. The name 'Tsumugi' – 'graceful turning' – refers to the enchanting way in which the large, cup-shaped flowers open, richly filled with approximately 120 petals. Admire the subtle color transition from an intense light-pink center to soft-pink edges, complemented by a delicate fragrance that combines classic rose notes with a hint of lavender. As one of the first two-year-old plants in Europe, Tsumugi™ is a pioneering rose and a true collector's item.

With an expected height of 80–120 cm and a compact growth habit, Tsumugi™ is exceptionally versatile. Whether you give it a prominent place in a border, use it as a solitary focal point in the garden, or plant it in a generous pot (from Ø 50 cm) on your terrace, this rose will shine anywhere. Its repeat-flowering nature, from May well into October, provides months of abundant blooms that enhance any outdoor space.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery, a family business with more than 40 years of passion and expertise, we deliver your Tsumugi™ rose directly from our nursery in Aalsmeer. We guarantee high-quality roses, sustainably grown under Planet Proof certification. With our expertise, we ensure that you receive a healthy and vigorous plant, ready to transform your garden. Share your experiences and photos; together with you, we will discover how this Japanese beauty flourishes in European gardens.
