Young Lycidas
- Order your roses today, and they will be delivered within 3–5 working days.
Be enchanted by the Rosa 'Young Lycidas', a David Austin rose that delights the senses with its unparalleled beauty and dynamic fragrance. Its large, cup-shaped flowers unfold in a breathtaking blend of deep magenta, warm pink-red, and soft purple, subtly enhanced with a silvery sheen on the outer petals. But it is the scent that truly surprises: starting as a refined tea fragrance, it transforms into a complex perfume with rich cedarwood notes – an olfactory journey you will want to experience again and again.
With its gracefully arching blooms on strong stems and its healthy, floriferous nature, 'Young Lycidas' adorns your garden from early summer well into autumn. It shines beautifully in borders, cottage gardens, mixed beds, or as a majestic solitary plant. Also in pots on your terrace or balcony, this rose adds a touch of English elegance and a continuous fragrance experience to any outdoor space.
At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, you buy the 'Young Lycidas' rose directly from the grower. Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
