Introduction to Japanese roses from Wabara

Introductie Japanse rozen van Wabara - Belle Epoque

At Belle Epoque, we believe in roses that grow in and with nature. That is why we are proud to soon exclusively present a range of WABARA Roses from Japan, specially cultivated for you in the Netherlands.

WABARA Roses originated from a beautiful family tradition. Keiji Kunieda, the founder of Rose Farm KEIJI, started in 1981 growing unique roses that would capture hearts worldwide. Together with his son Kenichi, he developed the famous ‘Japanese rose’ that radiates beauty, simplicity, and harmony.

What makes WABARA so special? Growing with care for nature. These roses do not grow in greenhouses with hydroponics, but in open ground, in harmony with their environment. In this sustainable way of growing, healthy soil full of life is essential. By taking nature as an example and balancing the roses with their surroundings, they get exactly what they need to fully bloom.

This shared vision is what makes our exclusive collaboration so special. Together with WABARA, we are working on a unique collection, specially tailored to our European gardens. The first roses will be available in small quantities, and from October 2026 we will present an even larger assortment.

We are really looking forward to introducing you to these special roses, which are not only beautiful but also contribute to a healthier nature.

Keep following us for more news and soon discover the first WABARA roses from Dutch soil!

Kind regards,
Wouter
