The Lark Ascending

The Lark Ascending

26 in stock

A delightfully different type of English rose, 'The Lark Ascending' (Ausursula) features softly cupped, medium-sized, semi-double flowers of just 22 petals in a heavenly warm apricot shade, splashed with gold in the centre. On the bush, the roses are produced from the ground upwards in flower heads of up to 15 beautifully spaced flowers, creating an impressive effect. Their light scent varies with age, from tea to myrrh, and they are always an excellent addition to the vase. Introduced by David Austin in 2012, The Lark Ascending is an excellent rose bush with exceptional health and vigor that rarely succumbs to disease.

Care Instructions

Caring for rose 'The Lark Ascending' is not difficult, but the rose does require some time and attention on a regular basis. Roses need a lot of energy to grow well and sufficient water and nutrition helps with this. Also check regularly whether there are spent flower buds on the rose. To avoid wasting energy, it is best to remove these as quickly as possible. It is wise to fertilize the rose so that it can absorb good and healthy nutrition again. The advice is to do this twice a year; in March and the end of June.
