Vaso Hortensia – Authentic Tuscan Terracotta Pot for Roses
The most beautiful roses deserve a pot with character. The Vaso Hortensia is a classic Tuscan terracotta pot handmade from high-quality clay from Tuscany. Thanks to its elegant shape, warm terracotta color, and generous planting depth, this pot forms a beautiful base for roses, perennials, and Mediterranean plants.
Each Vaso Hortensia is made according to centuries-old Tuscan traditions. The natural clay not only provides an authentic look but also offers excellent properties for plant growth. Terracotta naturally breathes, allowing excess moisture to evaporate more easily and keeping roots healthy.
Perfect for roses in pots
At Belle Epoque, we are constantly searching for pots that are not only beautiful but also contribute to the health of roses. The Vaso Hortensia is an excellent choice for this. Its spacious interior gives roses enough room to develop a strong root system, while the porous Tuscan clay helps create a natural growing environment.
Combine this pot, for example, with a richly blooming English rose from David Austin®, a fragrant climbing rose on a terrace, or a special Belle Epoque rose for a stylish eye-catcher that lasts for years.
Handmade craftsmanship from Tuscany
Each Vaso Hortensia is hand-finished by artisans in Tuscany. As a result, no two pots are exactly alike. Small nuances in color and texture emphasize the authentic character and make each pot unique.
The high-quality Tuscan clay is known for its durability and frost resistance. This means the pot can remain outside all year round and develops a beautiful natural patina over time that only gets more attractive.

Advice from Belle Epoque
For the best results, we recommend filling the pot with high-quality rose potting soil and adding a good drainage layer. This allows the roots to develop optimally, so you can enjoy healthy, richly blooming roses for years to come.
The Vaso Hortensia combines Italian elegance with practical gardening pleasure, making it a charming addition to any garden or terrace. A timeless terracotta pot that perfectly showcases the beauty of roses.
Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
