Care & Plants
Plant bare-root roses between October and April, and potted roses all year round, as long as the ground is not frozen. Choose a sunny spot with well-draining, fertile soil. Dig a spacious planting hole, enrich the soil with compost, and make sure the graft union (the swelling between root and stem) is just below the soil surface.
Prune the Gabriel Oak in early spring (March), once the worst frost has passed. Remove dead, weak, or crossing branches and cut back the main branches to 3-5 buds above the ground. Regularly remove spent flowers during the blooming season to encourage continuous flowering.
Make sure to provide enough water, especially during dry periods, particularly for young plants and roses in pots. Fertilize the rose in early spring and after the first bloom with special rose fertilizer for abundant flowering. A layer of mulch around the base helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Bij aankomst was het geen stevige plant

Bij aankomst was het geen stevige plant. Nu zitten er bruine vlekken op de bladeren en hij heeft nog geen nieuwe scheuten. Ik houd hem dus weg van mijn andere rozen. Maar ik zal hem goed verzorgen en dan komt het wel goed.

Fantastische rozenkwekerij

Boscobel en Gabriel Oak besteld bij Bele Epoque, deze werden keurig netjes bezorgd. Gabriel Oak geeft al haar eerste rozenknop!. Ik bestel altijd via Belle daar Wouter de eigenaar zeer vakkundig is en dat niet alleen hij is altijd bereidt om te helpen met evt problemen of vragen. De klantenservice is zeer hoog en bij Wouter is de klant nog steeds koning en dit mis ik vaak bij andere kwekerijen. Ik betaal liever iets meer dan dan dat ik als consument en rozenliefhebber met een kluitje in het riet wordt gestuurd. Alleen maar lof voor Wouter met zijn geweldige rozenkwekerij. Ik hoop ooit een keer even langs te kunnen komen in Aalsmeer om daar alles te bewonderen en kennis te maken met Wouter.

Klimrozen

Zoals al medegedeeld ,de klimrozen die ik had besteld, zijn laat in de week bij verzenden aangegeven. Daardoor heel weekend bij verzend adres in een doos omgeving onbekend moeten laten liggen. En eerlijk gezegd het resultaat merkbaar lopen nog niet uit. Dit heb ik nog nooit bij jullie meegemaakt. Dus helaas geen complement. Het is zo ,is mij toegezegd dat vervolg hierin rekening gehouden zal worden. Ik wil nog 2 doornloze rozen kopen maar moet nog de plaats inrichten. Dus ik heb vertrouwen dat het dan goed zal gaan . vriendelijke groeten.
