Be enchanted by the Alexandre Astrier®, a true ode to romance and French flair from Meilland's prestigious ROMANTICA® line. This stunning rose captures attention with its large, peony-like flowers in an intense deep pink shade that instantly brightens any garden. The glossy, dark green leaves provide a beautiful contrast to the lush flowers, each boasting 40 to 60 petals and reaching about 9 cm in diameter. The scent is subtle and soft, present but never overpowering, perfect for an elegant atmosphere. Named after the versatile French actor Alexandre Astier, this rose embodies his creative and stylish personality: expressive, elegant, and full of character.
The Alexandre Astrier® is a compact, well-branched shrub that grows to about 80 cm tall, making it ideal for borders, flower beds, and even smaller gardens. Its excellent disease resistance makes it a strong and reliable choice for both beginner and experienced rose lovers. Enjoy a rich and continuous bloom from early summer until the first frost, with each stem carrying 1 to 3 generous flowers. This versatile rose also performs wonderfully as a cut flower, where its large, full blooms add a luxurious touch to any bouquet.
At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, you buy roses directly from the grower, backed by over 40 years of family experience and passion. We cultivate our Alexandre Astrier® with the utmost care and expertise, focusing on sustainability and top quality. This ensures you receive a healthy, strong rose that will beautify your garden for years and capture your heart.

Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
