With its vigorous growth and impressive height of 2 to 3 meters, the ‘Guirlande d’Amour’ is the ideal choice to beautify vertical spaces. Care & Plants
Plant the rose in the fall (October-April) as bare root or year-round as a potted plant, provided it is frost-free. Choose a sunny to partially shaded spot with fertile, well-draining soil, and ensure that the graft union is just below the soil surface. When planting against a wall or pergola, allow enough space for root development.
Prune the ‘Guirlande d’Amour’ in early spring (March) by removing dead, diseased, or weak branches and shortening side shoots to 2-3 buds. Train the main branches horizontally for richer flowering. Remove faded flowers during the summer to encourage continuous blooming.
Water the rose regularly during dry periods and after planting, preferably early in the morning at the base of the plant. Fertilize in early spring and after the first bloom with a specific rose fertilizer for optimal growth and flowering, and consider mulching to retain moisture.
