Care Instructions
Pruning a rose is important to keep it young and vital. Since Rosa 'Guirlande d'Amour' is a continuously flowering rose, this is best done in the month of March. It is then important to leave the main branches alone as much as possible. You can recognize the main branches by their thickness and their upward growth. You can prune the side branches without any problems. Cut the side branches to about 3 to 5 centimeters from the main branch. Do you want to encourage better (after) flowering? Then cut off the first flowering again at the end of July. Prune the rose back to five leaves for new shoots and flowers.
