Charles Darwin (Auspeet) (root)

Charles Darwin (Auspeet) (root)

20 in stock

The flowers of rose Charles Darwin are among the largest found in English roses and are comparable to Brother Cadfael and Golden Celebration, creating a truly impressive effect in the garden. The flowers are very full and round at first, then open into a shallow cup. They have a beautiful rich yellow hue - almost old gold - sometimes with lemony or sandy tones. It is a very attractive, bushy and striking shrub that is very healthy and would be ideal at the front of a mixed or pure rose border.

Care Instructions

Caring for rose 'Charles Darwin' is not difficult, but the rose does require some time and attention on a regular basis. Roses need a lot of energy to grow well and sufficient water and nutrition helps with this. Also check regularly whether there are spent flower buds on the rose. To avoid wasting energy, it is best to remove these as quickly as possible. It is wise to fertilize the rose so that it can absorb good and healthy nutrition again. The advice is to do this twice a year; in March and the end of June.
