The Rosa Lykkefund is one of the most beloved rambler roses and is known for its abundant sea of flowers and rapid growth. This virtually thornless rose forms long, flexible shoots that easily transform pergolas, rose arches, or trees into a romantic flower paradise.
In June and July, Lykkefund blooms abundantly once with thousands of small flowers in dense clusters. The buds open apricot yellow and slowly change to cream white, with the warm yellow stamens beautifully visible. The semi-double flowers emit a delightful sweet scent and attract plenty of bees and bumblebees.
Lykkefund is robust, winter-hardy, and low-maintenance. Its origin lies in Denmark, where it was introduced in 1930 by the rose expert Aksel Olsen. The variety originated from a cross between the wild rose Rosa helenae and the historic bourbon rose Zéphirine Drouhin, which explains its elegant yet strong character.

Roses in Pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has been pre-grown in a pot and comes with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly into the garden or a larger container — no need to wait for new root growth. This makes potted roses ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May to October.
Bare Root Roses
Bare root roses are rose plants supplied without soil or pots. These roses are in their dormant stage and can be planted directly into the ground. The best time to plant bare root roses is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and temperatures are mild.
At Belle Epoque, we supply bare root roses from November to April. Thanks to their strong root systems and the right planting conditions, these roses quickly grow into healthy, vigorous shrubs or climbing roses with abundant blooms.
Products are shipped weekly on Mondays & Shipped directly from the nursery on Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimize our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
