Gertrude Jekyll

Gertrude Jekyll

15 in stock

Rosa 'Gertrude Jekyll' is a David Austin shrub rose with the character of real old roses. Large-flowered, continuously flowering and fragrant! Warm and intense pink flowers open from round buds. They are perfectly shaped rosette flowers with a green point in the center. Unusually strong rose scent! The rose grows robustly to approximately 150 cm and is therefore suitable for the back of a border. Re-flowering is promoted by pruning after the first flowering. Named after the famous landscape architect and author of "Roses for English Gardens" (1843 - 1932). A beautiful rose. Delivered directly from the rose nursery.

Care Instructions

Caring for rose 'Gertrude Jekyll' is not difficult, but the rose does require some time and attention on a regular basis. Roses need a lot of energy to grow well and sufficient water and nutrition helps with this. Also check regularly whether there are spent flower buds on the rose. To avoid wasting energy, it is best to remove these as quickly as possible. It is wise to fertilize the rose so that it can absorb good and healthy nutrition again. The advice is to do this twice a year; in March and the end of June.
