Discover the enchanting beauty of Rosa 'Mutabilis' , a unique Chinese rose known for its fascinating color-changing flowers. This special variety, offered by Belle Epoque, transforms from soft amber yellow to copper pink and finally to deep carmine red, creating a dynamic color palette in your garden.
The 'Mutabilis' rose, with its beautiful brownish young foliage, is a real eye-catcher. This repeat-flowering rose grows to a height of 120-150 cm and requires a protected position to flourish optimally. The origin of 'Mutabilis' is shrouded in mystery, believed to predate 1894, and was first introduced to Switzerland in 1934.
What makes this rose so beloved among gardeners are its showy 3-inch pink blooms that age to a dark crimson color over time. When 'Mutabilis' is in full bloom, with flowers of different ages, it creates an enchanting effect as if the entire plant is covered with butterflies.
At Belle Epoque we are proud of our collection of rare and unique roses, including the 'Mutabilis'. Whether you are looking for climbing roses, rambler roses, shrub roses, or English roses, our rose nursery offers a wide range of high-quality roses, straight from the grower.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Caring for rose 'Mutabilis' is not difficult, but the rose does require some time and attention on a regular basis. Roses need a lot of energy to grow well and sufficient water and nutrition helps with this. Also check regularly whether there are spent flower buds on the rose. To avoid wasting energy, it is best to remove these as quickly as possible. It is wise to fertilize the rose so that it can absorb good and healthy nutrition again. The advice is to do this twice a year; in March and the end of June.
