We love climbing roses. From wonderfully fragrant, repeat-flowering climbing roses with large flowers in the most beautiful classic colors that add charm to the facade of a house. But also from wild ramblers that grow fiercely against a pergola or in a tree. A climbing rose is a lovely gift for yourself, a friend, or family. We have put together some fun ideas for you. Because planting now while you can means that you can already enjoy such a beautiful climber this summer.

More and more cities are adopting policies that encourage citizens to plant greenery between the asphalt. For a nicer living environment and for better drainage of rainwater in the city. And what could create a more beautiful image than a stunning climbing rose against an urban facade? Climbing roses are one of the few types of climbing plants that bloom throughout the entire season. And that delightful scent you smell when you come home or step outside is a gift. Choose a rose that beautifully matches the color of your facade, dig a hole that is deep enough, fill it with good soil, and guide the rose upwards with a wire. Do you love the elegance of a large-flowered, continuously blooming classic climbing rose but also the strength of a fast-growing rambler rose? Then we have a great idea for you. Combine both types of roses. Let them grow together and you'll create a beautiful sight. Choose two roses of the same color and you'll achieve a stunning ton-sur-ton effect. An added benefit: you can enjoy the blooms more often. A wonderful enhancement for any facade, fence, or pergola. Check out our famous duos in all colors here. In the Netherlands, you don't see it very often: a rose that grows and blooms in a tree. It's a shame because it gives an overwhelming feeling to see such an explosion of flowers in a tree. Ramblers often bloom before the tree itself gets leaves, allowing you to enjoy spring even more. Choose a free-standing tree, plant the rose on the southeast side of the tree for morning sun, and guide it towards the trunk. The rose will grow towards the light and thus towards the crown of the tree. Suitable ramblers for a tree are Albéric Barbier, Banksiae Lutae, François Juranville, and Madame Alfred Carrière.
