David Austin's roses are nothing short of reliable: his ability to grow roses that bloom all summer and fall is legendary, and he always manages to harness this modern trait with the romance and beauty of old English roses. The Lady of Shalott rose evokes all that romance and beauty in a bush with petals that are salmon pink on top and golden yellow underneath, giving you this beautiful interplay of colors that seem orange, gold, or apricot, depending on the light and where you stand and how well-developed the rose is. The buds are orange and then develop into a cup-shaped rose with about sixty petals that are loosely arranged inside, giving the flower real depth. The leaves are medium green, very disease-resistant, and are reddish-brown when young. It is a bushy plant with lightly curved stems and reliably blooms all summer into fall. The fragrance has light notes of clove and spiced apples.

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Het verzorgen van rosa ‘Lady of Shalott’ is niet moeilijk maar de roos vraagt wel wat tijd en aandacht op regelmatige basis. Rozen hebben veel energie nodig om goed te kunnen groeien en daar helpt voldoende water en voeding bij. Bekijk ook regelmatig of er uitgebloeide bloemknoppen aan de roos zitten. Om energieverspilling te voorkomen kan je deze het beste zo snel mogelijk verwijderen. Daarbij is het verstandig om de roos te bemesten zodat deze weer goede en gezonde voeding kan opnemen. Het advies is om dit twee keer per jaar te doen; in maart en eind juni.</span></p>
