Belle Lennon – a new rose, specially developed for Belle Epoque
Belle Lennon is a new and promising rose variety, developed in Aalsmeer and specially selected for Belle Epoque breeding. This rose immediately stands out because of its warm, distinctive colour, rich flower structure and pleasant scent.
Because Belle Lennon is still young, we are getting to know it better together with our customers. What we already know for sure: it feels remarkably at home in the Dutch climate.
Colour & flower shape
Belle Lennon blooms with fully filled, layered flowers in warm shades of caramel, honey and soft yellow. The petals are elegantly folded and give the flower a luxurious, almost handcrafted appearance.
This is a rose that invites close inspection.
Scent
The scent of Belle Lennon is clearly present but not heavy. Warm, soft and pleasant – exactly what you expect from a modern garden rose that is also selected for experience.
Growth & expectations
Belle Lennon grows into a compact shrub rose of about 40–60 cm. We are still learning about its final growth habit and reblooming, but its first performances are promising.
