Care & Plants
Plant the 'Ingrid Bergman' preferably in the fall or early spring as a bare-root rose, or year-round as a potted plant. Choose a sunny spot with well-draining, nutrient-rich soil and enough space. Dig a spacious planting hole, ensure the graft union is just below the soil surface, and press the soil firmly.
Prune the 'Ingrid Bergman' annually in March, after the worst frost has passed. Remove dead, diseased, or crossing branches and cut back the remaining branches to 3-5 buds above the ground. This encourages new growth and abundant flowering.
Give the 'Ingrid Bergman' enough water during dry periods, especially in the first growing season after planting. Fertilize the rose in early spring and again in July with a special rose fertilizer for abundant blooming. A layer of mulch around the base helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
