The Rosa 'Renée van Wegberg'™ is a medium-sized, fragrant shrub rose with soft pink, cup-shaped flowers and a unique raspberry flavour. This richly blooming rose combines ornamental value with culinary versatility – ideal for garden and kitchen alike.
The flowers are densely petalled (about 93 petals) and grow in compact clusters. Thanks to the silky texture and fruity scent, this rose is not only a delight for the eye but also a treat for the taste. The edible petals are excellent for use in salads, desserts, syrups, jam or tea. Even dried, they retain their colour and aroma.
With a compact height of 60–70 cm and bushy growth habit, Rosa 'Renée van Wegberg' fits perfectly in borders, pots and even small town gardens. Moreover, it has high disease resistance, is easy to care for and suitable for organic cultivation.
👉 Rosa 'Renée van Wegberg' was developed by Pheno Geno Roses and presented in 2019 at De Rozenhof in Lottum. The rose is named after the Dutch actress and singer Renée van Wegberg and belongs to the first generation of edible roses.

Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
