Caramel Antike – warm caramel hue with timeless grace

The Caramel Antike is a rose with a unique, warm appearance. Its large, densely filled blossoms open in refined shades of caramel, café-au-lait, and soft amber. The classic rosette shape gives it a nostalgic character, while the special color feels very modern. A rose that immediately draws attention, yet is never loud.

Caramel Antike comes from a leading German breeding company and is internationally known as a much-loved cut rose. In Aalsmeer it is a staple in higher-end floral arrangements, and also worldwide — in countries such as Kenya, Ecuador, and Colombia — this rose is widely cultivated for its reliability, form, and shelf life.

In the garden, Caramel Antike develops into a strong, graceful rose that richly rewards patience. Its flowers have depth, nuance, and a soft sheen that can subtly vary with each bloom and season. This is what makes it so special: no flower is exactly the same.

Caramel Antike brings warmth, calm, and refinement to borders, rose gardens, and as a solitary plant. A rose with character, beloved by florists and garden lovers who dare to choose something unique.

Roses in pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.

Roses with bare roots

Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.

At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.

Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
