Care & Plants
Greenhouse-grown roses can be planted all year round, except during frost. Choose a sunny spot with well-draining, fertile soil and dig a spacious planting hole. Mix the excavated soil with compost, place the rose so that the graft union is just below the ground, fill in, and press firmly.
Prune the 'Bravo Babylon Eyes' in early spring, as soon as the worst frost has passed. Remove dead, damaged, or weak branches and cut back the remaining branches to 15-20 cm above the ground, just above an outward-facing bud. This encourages new growth and abundant flowering.
Water the rose regularly during dry periods, especially in the first year after planting. Fertilize in early spring and again in summer with special rose fertilizer for abundant blooms and healthy growth. A layer of mulch around the base helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
