Blanchefleur (Centifolia) at a glance
Rosa ‘Blanchefleur’ was introduced in 1835 by the French rose breeder Jean-Pierre Vibert. It belongs to the Centifolia roses, the historic rose group known for its richly filled flowers. With Blanchefleur, you bring almost two centuries of rose history into your garden.
Its French name means ‘white flower’. It suits its creamy white flowers with a subtle pink blush at the centre beautifully. Blanchefleur is also a name from medieval stories, but no deliberate reference to them has been confirmed for this rose.
The round buds with red tips open into full, quartered flowers. Their strong, sweet rose fragrance makes the once-yearly flowering in June and July particularly special. The fresh, light green foliage forms a beautiful contrast with the soft flower colour. Give this historic white garden rose room in a romantic border: it grows into a substantial shrub and also tolerates partial shade.

Forty years of nothing but roses
Belle Époque is a family business, not a wholesaler. From our greenhouses in Aalsmeer, we have been growing only roses for over four decades — and every plant we send out is personally selected by us. This way, you receive not a catalog rose, but a plant ready to grow.
"Beautiful climbing rose, bloomed abundantly in the very first year! Well packaged and exactly what I expected based on the description. Belle Époque truly delivers top quality."
"The rose is well packaged and looks beautiful. Fast delivery, and the personal advice via email was very valuable — I wasn’t sure where to plant it."
"Amazing quality & service. I ordered two New Dawns and they are developing beautifully in the garden. Fast shipping from Aalsmeer to Belgium — would absolutely order again."
