About Open Arms

The Rosa 'Open Arms' opens its heart with an abundance of charming, salmon-pink flowers that brighten any garden. This miniature rambler enchants with its delicate, semi-double flowers of about 4 cm, which emit a soft yet strong fragrance. Its graceful, arching shoots and glossy green leaves create a perfect backdrop for this cheerful appearance, inviting bees and butterflies to a feast of color and scent.

'Open Arms' is exceptionally versatile and ideal for any garden, even smaller city gardens. Let it elegantly climb along a pergola, wall, fence, or pillar, where its compact growth of 2 to 3 meters creates a breathtaking rose ribbon. Or grow it as a lush, free-standing shrub that blooms continuously from June through October, bringing months of color and life to your outdoor space.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, you can buy this beautiful 'Open Arms' directly from the grower, with over 40 years of artisanal expertise. We cultivate our roses with passion and care, respecting nature and following sustainable principles. This ensures you receive a healthy, vigorous rose lovingly nurtured and ready to enrich your garden with its unparalleled beauty.

Care & Plants
Plant 'Open Arms' in well-draining, fertile soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Dig a spacious planting hole, loosen the roots, and place the rose so that the graft union (swelling) is just below the soil surface. Fill in with soil, press lightly, and water generously. When planting along a structure, ensure there is enough space to train the branches.
Prune this rambler in February or March, once the worst frost has passed. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. To maintain the compact shape and continuous blooming, you can remove spent flowers after blooming and prune older branches back to about 50 cm to encourage new growth.
Water 'Open Arms' regularly during dry periods, especially in the first growing season. Fertilize the rose in spring (March/April) and after the first bloom (June/July) with an organic rose fertilizer for abundant flowering. A mulch layer of compost or bark helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Forty years of nothing but roses

Belle Époque is a family business, not a wholesaler. From our greenhouses in Aalsmeer, we have been growing only roses for over four decades — and every plant we send out is personally selected by us. This way, you receive not a catalog rose, but a plant ready to grow.
