The Rosa ‘Schneewittchen’, known worldwide as ‘Iceberg’, is a true legend in the world of roses and an indispensable classic in the Belle Époque collection. This iconic XL climbing rose, bred by Reimer Kordes in 1958, has fascinated for decades with its pure, creamy white beauty and abundant blooms. From June well into autumn, it adorns the garden with clusters of semi-double flowers that have a soft, open structure and emit a subtle, fresh fragrance. Its repeat-blooming nature and excellent health, awarded the title Top Rose, make it a timeless favorite.

As a vigorous climbing rose, the ‘Schneewittchen’ is perfect for transforming walls, pergolas, arches, or fences into a blooming cascade of white. The fresh green leaves create a stunning contrast with the bright blossoms, which also attract bees and butterflies. Thanks to its robustness and disease resistance, this rose is a reliable choice for both beginner and experienced gardeners seeking a serene and elegant look in their outdoor space. It also thrives beautifully in a large pot on the terrace.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, you buy the Rosa ‘Schneewittchen’ directly from the grower. With over 40 years of family experience, we guarantee a strong, healthy, and carefully cultivated rose, ready to enrich your garden. Our passion for roses and sustainable cultivation methods ensure you receive a top-quality product, grown with love and expertise.

Roses in pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.

Roses with bare roots

Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.

At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.

Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
