Discover the unique charm of ‘Mademoiselle Lola June’, an exclusive rose from Belle Époque’s own breeding programme. This special shrub rose was developed in collaboration with Dirk Alderden, my mentor in the art of rose breeding. In his historic 1924 greenhouse, right in the heart of Aalsmeer, the foundations were laid for this colourful rose with a personal story.

‘Mademoiselle Lola June’ enchants with a vibrant interplay of warm pink, coral and salmon surrounding a sunny yellow to apricot-coloured centre. The open flower form and clearly visible stamens give it a natural, playful appearance. At the same time, the flowers provide an attractive food source for bees and other pollinators.

With its healthy, compact growth and an eventual height of approximately 50 to 70 cm, ‘Mademoiselle Lola June’ is particularly versatile. It looks wonderful at the front of a border, as a colourful accent in a rose bed or as a radiant centrepiece in a spacious pot on the patio or balcony. Plant several together for an exuberantly flowering display that brings colour throughout the summer.
