Boscobel® (Auscousin) – David Austin rose | Organically grown | Belle Epoque
The David Austin rose Boscobel® (Auscousin) is one of the most beautiful English roses thanks to its impressive flower shape, unique color gradient, and exceptional fragrance. From deep red buds, richly filled rosettes with about 78 petals open. The flowers change color from warm salmon pink to deeper apricot and rose tones, giving the shrub a different appearance throughout the season.
The fragrance is one of Boscobel’s great qualities. This English rose emits a powerful and refined perfume with notes of myrrh, hawthorn, elderflower, ripe pear, and almond. This makes it not only a beautiful garden rose but also a scent experience that makes every walk through the garden special.
Why choose Boscobel®?
Boscobel grows into a compact, bushy shrub about 100 to 120 cm tall and approximately 100 cm wide. Thanks to its healthy growth habit and excellent reblooming, it is suitable for almost any garden. From June well into October, this David Austin rose continuously produces new flowers, allowing you to enjoy color and fragrance for months.
This versatile rose looks stunning as a solitary eye-catcher but is also beautiful in a rose border, cottage garden, or mixed perennial border. The warm salmon pink flowers combine beautifully with purple salvia, lavender, lady’s mantle, catmint, and ornamental grasses. Boscobel also thrives excellently in a large pot on a terrace or patio.
Organically grown David Austin roses
At Belle Epoque you buy Boscobel® directly from the grower. All our garden roses are organically grown in the Netherlands, without chemical pesticides and with respect for soil, nature, and biodiversity. Thanks to this sustainable cultivation, our roses grow into strong, healthy plants that bloom for years.
With more than 40 years of experience, Belle Epoque is the specialist in exceptional garden roses. We offer one of the largest collections of David Austin roses, English roses, and organic roses in the Netherlands.
Planting and caring for Boscobel®
Plant Boscobel in a sunny location where the plant receives at least five hours of sunlight per day. A nutritious, well-draining soil ensures rich blooming and healthy growth. During dry periods, provide sufficient water and feed the plant annually with organic rose fertilizer. By regularly cutting away spent flowers, Boscobel will continue to form new flower buds well into autumn.

Cordialement,
Wouter
