The David Hockney® is more than a rose; it is a living artwork, a tribute to the master of color and light. This sensational climbing rose from Meilland, new in 2026, captures the cheerful expression of Hockney's paintings with its spectacular color palette. Warm apricot and peach tones seamlessly blend into fresh coral pink shades, like brushstrokes on a canvas. The generous, softly folded flowers, each about 10-12 cm wide and richly filled with more than 45 petals, radiate a modern romance, accompanied by a subtle fruity-floral fragrance that stimulates the senses.
With a height of 200-250 cm and a width of 100-150 cm, the David Hockney® is an ideal climbing rose for beautifying facades, pergolas, or rose arches, blooming continuously from spring until the first frost. Its compact, well-branched growth habit also makes it perfect for smaller gardens or as an impressive solitary eye-catcher in a large pot on the terrace. The unique color combination is excellent for colorful borders, modern garden designs, or as a beautiful cut flower that stays attractive in the vase for a long time, creating an artistic atmosphere everywhere.

Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
