About Kew Climber

Imagine: a summer morning, the air filled with an intoxicating, musky scent that immediately transports you to an English cottage garden. That is the enchantment of the Rosa 'Kew Rambler'. This historic rambler rose adorns your garden in June and July with an abundance of medium pink, single flowers. Each bloom is a small work of art with a striking white eye and radiant golden stamens, irresistibly attracting not only people but also bees and butterflies. And when the floral display fades, the 'Kew Rambler' transforms again, with graceful orange-red rose hips that bring color and life to your garden deep into autumn.

With its strong and robust growth habit, the 'Kew Rambler' is the perfect choice for those who want to cover large areas in a natural and charming way. Let it majestically climb an old tree, overgrow a pergola with a cascade of flowers, or transform a dull wall into a living work of art. Its bushy, thorny structure not only offers a stunning spectacle but also a safe haven for birds. A true asset for any gardener dreaming of a lush, classic rambler garden that benefits both people and nature.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, you buy the 'Kew Rambler' directly from the grower, with a guarantee of top quality. As a family business with over 40 years of expertise and a passion for roses, we cultivate our plants with care and respect for nature. Our sustainable cultivation methods ensure that you receive a strong, healthy rose ready to enrich your garden for decades with its unique beauty and fragrance. Choose Belle Époque and experience the rose splendor from local soil.

Care & Plants
Plant the 'Kew Rambler' preferably in a sunny spot with well-draining soil. Dig a spacious planting hole, twice as wide as the root ball, and enrich the soil with compost if needed. Place the plant so that the graft union is just below the soil surface, press the soil firmly, and water generously immediately after planting. For bare-root roses, the ideal period is from October to April; potted roses can be planted all year round.
The 'Kew Rambler' requires relatively little pruning. After flowering, or in late winter/early spring, remove any dead, diseased, or damaged branches. Thin out the plant if necessary to improve air circulation and maintain the desired shape and size by pruning long, unwanted shoots.
Water the 'Kew Rambler' regularly, especially during dry periods and in the first growing year. Fertilize the plant in early spring (March/April) with a special organic rose fertilizer for optimal blooming and growth. A mulch layer around the base of the plant helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
