The The Poet’s Wife rose produces round, fully double flowers in an intense yellow hue that subtly fades outward. The outer ring of petals encloses an informal, luminous group of inner petals, creating depth and playfulness.
The fragrance is unique: an ultra-rich lemon scent that becomes stronger and sweeter as the flowers mature. Combined with her glossy dark green leaves, she forms a radiant centerpiece in the garden. Thanks to her compact growth and hardiness, The Poet’s Wife is particularly suitable for the front of borders or smaller gardens.

Roses in Pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has been pre-grown in a pot and comes with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly into the garden or a larger container — no need to wait for new root growth. This makes potted roses ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May to October.
Bare Root Roses
Bare root roses are rose plants supplied without soil or pots. These roses are in their dormant stage and can be planted directly into the ground. The best time to plant bare root roses is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and temperatures are mild.
At Belle Epoque, we supply bare root roses from November to April. Thanks to their strong root systems and the right planting conditions, these roses quickly grow into healthy, vigorous shrubs or climbing roses with abundant blooms.
Products are shipped weekly on Mondays & Shipped directly from the nursery on Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimize our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
