The Rosa Emily Brontë® (Ausearnshaw), cultivated by David Austin in honor of the 200th anniversary of the famous author of Wuthering Heights, is a literary and botanical gem. This elegant English rose combines timeless beauty with rich blooming and a refined scent - a perfect choice for any garden lover.
The flowers are a subtle work of art: soft apricot-pink petals open around a warm orange center, with each layer of petals becoming slightly larger than the previous one. This creates an enchanting rosette shape with an elegant, flat character. The fully opened flowers reveal a charming central button eye, further enhancing their romantic appearance.
Emily Brontë® blooms exceptionally rich and almost continuously from June until deep into the fall. The shrub grows upright, bushy, and well-branched, but remains compact enough to shine even in smaller gardens. With a height of approximately 140 cm and a width of 130 cm, this rose is ideal for borders, flower beds, or as a solitary eye-catcher.
The scent of Emily Brontë® is a true highlight: a refined mix of fruity apricot and floral tea, filling every garden with a delightful, classic rose scent.
At Belle Epoque, you can order this special English rose directly from our nursery. 'Emily Brontë®' is a tribute to one of the greatest literary icons in English history - and a beautiful addition to your garden.

Roses in a pot
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for roots to develop. This makes the potted rose ideal for year-round planting, especially May to October.
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants that are delivered without pots or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in the ground. The best time to plant a root rose is autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature is mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare root roses from November to AprilThanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and floriferous shrubs or climbing roses.
Products are shipped weekly on Mondays & Shipped directly from the nursery on Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimize our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
