The rambler rose or climbing rose rosa 'Lykkefund' is the star of every garden with its exuberant sea of flowers! This fast-growing rose 'Lykkefund' forms almost thornless shoots! Moreover, the white flowers are the perfect decoration for your garden. From June to July, this rambler is in top form and steals the show from other plants in the garden. Rosa 'Lykkefund' is particularly attractive on rose arches, pergolas, or in trees. The robust and winter-hardy climbing rose transforms every garden into a creamy white sea during its blooming period of several weeks.
The beautiful 'Lykkefund' originally comes from Denmark. The rose was cultivated in 1930 and is a variety from the well-known rose expert Aksel Olsen. The wild rose Rosa Helenae and the historical bourbon rose Zéphirine Drouhin are considered its biological parents. No wonder this variety presents itself with a pronounced elegance and robust character. The climbing rose has long captured the hearts of gardeners around the world and has found countless admirers who are enthusiastic about the abundance of flowers. Additionally, the low-maintenance rambler rose can be used in various ways.
It fits in any garden and gives the garden a romantic flair in the style of English gardens. The small flowers grow in clusters close together on the long, flexible tendrils. The climbing rose 'Lykkefund' blooms once a year and enchants the surroundings with its delightful fragrance. The buds initially develop apricot-yellow flowers, the color of which gradually fades into an elegant cream white. The inside of the flowers showcases beautiful stamens and retains a warm yellow hue. The simple flowers are partly slightly double-folded and are very attractive to bees, bumblebees, and other insects.
