The Rosa ‘Princess Alexandra of Kent’ is a true crown jewel among the David Austin standard roses, known for its regal appearance and unparalleled beauty. Its majestic, cup-shaped flowers, richly filled with up to 130 soft petals, unfold from a delicate light pink outer edge to a deeper, warm pink center. This enchanting color transition creates a visual spectacle that enriches any garden. What makes this English rose extra special is its unique and refined fragrance: a fresh tea scent that elegantly shifts into sparkling notes of lemon and the sweetness of blackcurrant – a scent experience that captivates continuously.
As a standard rose with a height of 90 cm and a lush, rounded crown, the ‘Princess Alexandra of Kent’ is perfect for adding height and structure to your garden or terrace. It excels as a solitary plant in a generous pot, as a focal point in a classic border, or as part of a romantic cottage garden. The large, continuously blooming flowers immediately draw attention, while the soft, warm pink tones add a sense of luxury and serenity. Pair it with the purple accents of lavender, the freshness of white perennials, or ornamental grasses for a breathtaking and timeless English garden look.

Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
