About Fairy Queen

Meet 'Fairy Queen', an enchanting rose that lives up to its name with an abundance of charming, small, double red flowers. This repeat-flowering beauty, also known by its registration name SPEKrien, was created by Vurens in 1995 and adorns your garden continuously from June to October. Its light fragrance and excellent health were rewarded with the prestigious ADR® award. In addition, this rose is organically grown, contributing to a healthy and vibrant garden.

With a compact height of 60–90 cm, 'Fairy Queen' is exceptionally versatile. It excels as ground cover, forms a beautiful, dense hedge, fills borders effortlessly, and brings color to parks. Thanks to its abundant flowering, it is also a fantastic addition to a cutting garden and is ideally suited as a cut rose to enjoy indoors. Please note that this rose is not suitable for long-term container cultivation, but shines all the more when planted in the ground.

Care & Plants
Deze roos wordt geleverd als roos met kale wortel in november, en kan geplant worden van oktober tot april. Kies een zonnige plek (min. 6 uur zon per dag) in de border, als haag, bodembedekker of in een park. Graaf een ruim plantgat, maak de aarde goed los en plant de roos zo dat de entplaats net onder het maaiveld ligt. Houd een plantafstand aan van 45 cm en geef na het planten ruim water.
Snoei deze roos in het vroege voorjaar, na de laatste vorst. Verwijder dode, beschadigde of zieke takken en snoei de overige takken met ongeveer een derde tot de helft terug om een compacte groei en rijke bloei te bevorderen. Door uitgebloeide bloemen regelmatig te verwijderen, stimuleert u de vorming van nieuwe bloemknoppen.
Geef de 'Fairy Queen' regelmatig water, vooral tijdens droge periodes en in het eerste jaar na aanplant. Bemest in het voorjaar en halverwege de zomer met een organische rozenmest om een uitbundige bloei te stimuleren. Een laag mulch rond de basis helpt de bodem vochtig te houden en onkruid te onderdrukken.
