The 'Bathsheba' (Ausschimbley) is a David Austin climbing rose that captures the essence of English romance. Its apricot-yellow buds unfold into beautiful, shallow-cupped rosettes in soft shades of apricot pink and warm yellow. These enchanting flowers are not only a feast for the eyes but also a delight for the senses, thanks to a rich myrrh fragrance subtly blended with notes of honey and tea. Inspired by the strong heroine Bathsheba Everdene, this rose exudes the same irresistible charm and character.

With its vigorous, bushy growth and healthy, dark green foliage, the 'Bathsheba' is an ideal choice for vertical beauty in your garden. It is perfect for adorning pergolas, rose arches, and walls with its lush blooms. This repeat-flowering beauty treats you to a continuous stream of flowers from early summer well into autumn, adding timeless elegance to both classic and modern garden designs.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, a family business with over 40 years of passion and craftsmanship, we grow the 'Bathsheba' with the utmost care. We guarantee you a strong, healthy rose, direct from the nursery, which, thanks to our sustainable cultivation methods and years of experience, will be a valuable and long-lasting addition to your garden. Choose the superior quality and expertise of Belle Époque.

Roses in pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.

Roses with bare roots

Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.

At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.

Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
