Product form
Rosa 'Polka' was first bred in France by Jacques Mouchotte. Mouchotte was the Research Director for Meilland from 1978 and among his many achievements he is best known for the Carefree Delight & Carefree Wonder roses, as well as the Debut rose and the Bonica rose. Polka is made by using a seed plant of the Golden Showers and Meipaisar roses crossed with a Light Queen Lucia rose. The result as you can see is a beautifully colored apricot rose.
Polka roses can be grown as a short rose just 1.5 meters high, or it can be left to reach its full height of 4 meters high. The flowers on the Pink Polka are gigantic and will average about 6 inches in diameter at full maturity. The flowers have apricot-colored petals that are lighter around the edges, and they usually have a strong, classic rose scent. This rose is considered very hardy. Polka has been proven to be a disease resistant rose, making it a favorite among growers around the world. Delivered directly from the rose nursery.

Care Instructions

Caring for rose 'Polka' is not difficult, but the rose does require some time and attention on a regular basis. Roses need a lot of energy to grow well and sufficient water and nutrition helps with this. Also check regularly whether there are spent flower buds on the rose. To avoid wasting energy, it is best to remove these as quickly as possible. It is wise to fertilize the rose so that it can absorb good and healthy nutrition again. The advice is to do this twice a year; in March and the end of June.
