Princess Aiko™ – Exclusive Japanese rose, now for the first time in Europe!
The Princess Aiko™, also known as Beloved, is a unique Japanese garden rose that was originally cultivated for the Empress of Japan. Belle Epoque is proud to offer this rare rose exclusively as a 2-year-old plant in Europe.
The flowers open in a refined play of colors of bright peach with soft shades of cream and light pink. Thanks to the spherical flower structure with as many as 120 petals, Princess Aiko™ retains her elegant shape up to 80% of the bloom. The shiny, dark green leaves form a beautiful contrast with the flowers and enhance her luxurious appearance.
With a height between 80 and 140 cm, this is a compact but powerful shrub rose that is excellent for borders, solitary use, or in stylish combinations with other Japanese roses.Since the Princess Aiko™ is still new in Europe, 2025/2026 will be the first year in which enthusiasts can discover her growth dynamics in our climate.
Belle Epoque only offers 40 plants, making this introduction a unique opportunity for collectors and garden enthusiasts who want something special.

Roses in Pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has been pre-grown in a pot and comes with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly into the garden or a larger container — no need to wait for new root growth. This makes potted roses ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May to October.
Bare Root Roses
Bare root roses are rose plants supplied without soil or pots. These roses are in their dormant stage and can be planted directly into the ground. The best time to plant bare root roses is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and temperatures are mild.
At Belle Epoque, we supply bare root roses from November to April. Thanks to their strong root systems and the right planting conditions, these roses quickly grow into healthy, vigorous shrubs or climbing roses with abundant blooms.
Products are shipped weekly on Mondays & Shipped directly from the nursery on Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimize our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
