The Rosa ‘Westerland’ is a true eye-catcher among the climbing roses. This powerful and robust rose is known for its color transformation: the flowers open in a vibrant orange hue and gradually change to a soft salmon pink glow. The semi-double flowers have a strong, spicy scent that fills your garden with a summery atmosphere from June to October.

With its bushy growth habit and sturdy, stiff branches, ‘Westerland’ reaches a height of 1.5 to 2 meters. Perfectly suited to lead against a facade, pergola or low wall. The young shoots have a striking bronze-red hue, which adds extra color and dynamism to the plant, even outside the bloom.

‘Westerland’ is not only beautiful, but also strong and low-maintenance. It thrives in a spot in the sun or partial shade, as long as the soil is well-draining and nutritious.Annual fertilization and light pruning after winter keep this climbing rose healthy and richly flowering.

At Belle Epoque, you can order roses directly from the nursery in Aalsmeer. This way, you are guaranteed top quality and vitality, straight from our collection of unique and special garden roses.

Roses in Pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has been pre-grown in a pot and comes with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly into the garden or a larger container — no need to wait for new root growth. This makes potted roses ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May to October.

Bare Root Roses

Bare root roses are rose plants supplied without soil or pots. These roses are in their dormant stage and can be planted directly into the ground. The best time to plant bare root roses is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and temperatures are mild.

At Belle Epoque, we supply bare root roses from November to April. Thanks to their strong root systems and the right planting conditions, these roses quickly grow into healthy, vigorous shrubs or climbing roses with abundant blooms.

Products are shipped weekly on Mondays & Shipped directly from the nursery on Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimize our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
