Discover the timeless charm of Rosa ‘Zéphirine Drouhin’, one of the most beloved historic roses in our Belle Epoque collection. Introduced in 1868 by breeder Bizot, this exceptional rose has become a true icon in gardens around the world.
What makes Rosa ‘Zéphirine Drouhin’ truly unique are its thornless stems – perfect for families and gardeners who prefer a friendly, easy-to-handle climbing rose. Its semi-double, cup-shaped flowers display a warm pink hue and release an intense, sweet fragrance.
This versatile rose can be grown in several ways:
As a climber, it can reach up to 4 metres, ideal for covering walls, pergolas, and fences.
As a shrub, it stays more compact, around 2.5 metres, forming a beautiful, bushy focal point in borders.
With its long flowering period from May through October, Rosa ‘Zéphirine Drouhin’ offers months of beauty and fragrance. Renowned for its vigorous growth and resilience, it’s an excellent choice even for novice rose lovers.
At Belle Epoque, our roses are grown with care and passion, ensuring you receive a healthy plant directly from our nursery. Add Rosa ‘Zéphirine Drouhin’ to your garden and enjoy the perfect blend of historical charm, fragrance, and ease.

Roses in Pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has been pre-grown in a pot and comes with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly into the garden or a larger container — no need to wait for new root growth. This makes potted roses ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May to October.
Bare Root Roses
Bare root roses are rose plants supplied without soil or pots. These roses are in their dormant stage and can be planted directly into the ground. The best time to plant bare root roses is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and temperatures are mild.
At Belle Epoque, we supply bare root roses from November to April. Thanks to their strong root systems and the right planting conditions, these roses quickly grow into healthy, vigorous shrubs or climbing roses with abundant blooms.
Products are shipped weekly on Mondays & Shipped directly from the nursery on Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimize our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
