The Rose ‘Wedding Day’ is a spectacular rambler climbing rose with a romantic history. It owes its name to grower Sir Frederick, whose wedding day on June 26 coincided with its first bloom. Since then, this rose has symbolized love, abundance, and festivity.
With its strong growth power, this rambler can effortlessly reach heights up to 10 meters. This makes it ideal for covering pergolas, rose arches, walls, or even trees. The apricot-colored buds open into soft yellow flowers, which then fade to cream-white, star-shaped blossoms with striking orange-yellow stamens. During blooming, the garden fills with an intense, delightful scent – one of the strongest in our range.
‘Wedding Day’ is highly winter-hardy and very vigorous. Plant it in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny or partly shaded spot. With an annual feeding of rose nourishment and a light pruning after flowering, it remains healthy and richly blooming.
Whether you want to make a large pergola shine, transform a tree into a cloud of blossoms, or simply seek a fragrant eye-catcher, the Rose ‘Wedding Day’ turns any garden into a romantic paradise.

Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
