About Tiger's Eye

Dive into the enchanting world of the 'Eye of the Tiger', a rose that truly lives up to its name Eyerose. This Hybrid Hulthemia persica variety is a real eye-catcher thanks to its semi-double flowers with a unique, contrasting ‘eye’ at the center. This striking color accent creates a fascinating depth and an almost hypnotic allure. From early summer to late autumn, the 'Eye of the Tiger' treats you to a continuous flow of its exotic blooms, transforming any garden into a painting full of vibrant splendor. A rose that wants not only to be seen but also admired.

With its bushy growth habit and a height of 70-100 cm, the 'Eye of the Tiger' is perfectly suited for borders, as a solitary plant in a pot on a terrace or balcony, or as part of a mixed planter. Its unique appearance makes it a perfect focal point in any garden setting, where it effortlessly combines with perennials and ornamental grasses. Thanks to its excellent reblooming, you can enjoy a colorful spectacle for months, making it an indispensable addition for both novice and experienced gardeners looking for something special.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery, a well-known name in Aalsmeer for over 40 years, you buy the 'Eye of the Tiger' directly from the grower. We combine traditional expertise with the latest insights in sustainable cultivation, resulting in healthy, strong rose plants of top quality. Every rose leaving our nursery is grown with care and passion, ready to enrich your garden with its unique beauty. Choose the proven quality of a family business and enjoy your 'Eye of the Tiger' for many years to come.

Care & Plants
Plant 'Eye of the Tiger' preferably in the fall (October-November) or early spring (March-April) in well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. Dig a spacious planting hole, ensure the graft union is just below the soil surface, and water generously after planting. For potted plants, planting can be done year-round, provided it is frost-free.
Prune the 'Eye of the Tiger' in early spring (March), once the worst frost has passed. Remove dead, diseased, or crossing branches and shorten the remaining branches to 15-20 cm above the ground, just above an outward-facing bud. This encourages new growth and abundant flowering.
Water the 'Eye of the Tiger' regularly during dry periods, especially in the first year after planting. Fertilize the rose in spring (March/April) and after the first bloom (July) with a special organic rose fertilizer for abundant flowering and healthy growth. Mulch the base with compost for extra nutrition and moisture retention.
