Description
Belle Epoque Autumn Mix for roses
Prepare your roses properly for autumn and winter with Belle Epoque Autumn Mix. This mix, specially formulated for established garden roses, contains potassium, magnesium, seaweed meal, and natural minerals.
The combination of potassium sulfate, Epsom salt, seaweed meal, and lava meal supports strong shoots, a healthy mineral balance, and the rose’s natural resilience. This gives your roses exactly the care they need at the end of the growing season.
Why Belle Epoque Autumn Mix?
After a growing season full of new shoots and flowers, roses need appropriate care. In autumn, the focus is no longer on stimulating new growth, but on supporting strong plants that can prepare well for the colder months.
Belle Epoque Autumn Mix was specially developed for established roses and contains potassium, magnesium, and natural minerals. The mix can easily be scattered around the plant and lightly worked into the top layer of soil.

Carefully made at Ons Tweede Thuis
Belle Epoque consciously chooses a social, small-scale approach to production. Our Autumn Mix is carefully formulated and hand-filled by employees of Ons Tweede Thuis.
We do not purchase our Autumn Mix as a ready-made product from a large producer. By having the mix formulated ourselves, we know exactly which ingredients it contains. At the same time, we contribute to suitable and meaningful work.
As a result, every package is made with care for roses, the soil, and the people who make the product.
What does Belle Epoque Autumn Mix contain?
10% potassium sulfate
Potassium plays an important role in moisture regulation and plant strength. It supports strong shoots and helps the rose prepare for changing weather conditions.
Potassium sulfate also provides sulfur, a nutrient involved in various processes within the plant.
15% Epsom salt
Epsom salt, also known as magnesium sulfate, provides the rose with magnesium and sulfur. Magnesium is important for the formation of chlorophyll and supports the plant’s overall condition.
25% seaweed meal
Seaweed meal is a natural source of minerals and trace elements. It provides a valuable supplement to the soil and supports the vitality of the rose.
50% lava meal
Lava meal consists of finely ground volcanic rock and contains various natural minerals and trace elements. It contributes to mineral-rich soil around the rose.
Use and dosage
Use Belle Epoque Autumn Mix once at the end of summer or at the beginning of autumn.
- Use approximately 100 grams per mature rose
- Use approximately 50 to 75 grams for a young or small rose
- 100 grams is suitable for 1 mature rose
- 500 grams is suitable for approximately 5 mature roses
- For large climbing roses and rambler roses, 100 to 150 grams can be used
How to use the Autumn Mix
- Remove any weeds and fallen leaves around the rose.
- Scatter the recommended amount evenly over the root zone.
- Keep some distance from the stem and do not pile the mix in one place.
- Lightly work the Autumn Mix into the top layer of soil.
- Water after applying it so that the ingredients come into contact with the soil.
Do not use the mix directly on the leaves and prevent a concentrated amount from remaining against the stem.
When should you use the Autumn Mix?
Preferably use Belle Epoque Autumn Mix in August or September. During a mild autumn, the mix can optionally still be applied at the beginning of October.
Do not use the Autumn Mix when the soil is frozen, completely dried out, or waterlogged. Apply the product in dry weather and then water.
Which roses is the Autumn Mix suitable for?
Belle Epoque Autumn Mix is suitable for almost all established garden roses, including:
- Shrub roses
- Cluster-flowered roses
- Large-flowered roses
- English roses
- Climbing roses
- Rambler roses
- Roses in large pots and containers
Use a lower dosage for roses in pots and distribute the mix evenly over the potting soil.
Is the Autumn Mix a complete rose fertilizer?
Belle Epoque Autumn Mix was specially formulated for the end of the growing season. The mix focuses on caring for established roses as they approach autumn and winter.
For growth and flowering in spring and summer, we also recommend a balanced rose fertilizer. In spring, use feed suited to the development of new shoots, leaves, and flowers.
Can I use the Autumn Mix for newly planted roses?
For newly planted roses, we recommend Belle Epoque Planting Mix. It contains mycorrhizae and humic acids and was specially developed to support root development in new plantings.
Did you plant a rose early in the season and has it now rooted well? Then use an adjusted dosage of approximately 50 grams of Autumn Mix.

Forty years of nothing but roses
Belle Époque is a family business, not a wholesaler. From our greenhouses in Aalsmeer, we have been growing only roses for over four decades — and we personally select every plant we send out. This way, you receive at home not a catalog rose, but a plant ready to grow.
